“The Gratitude Wall” Dumbo, Brooklyn, 2013

Last month during the 17th Dumbo (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) Arts Festival I participated in the Open Studios for the seventeenth time. This year was different.  Saturday, September 28th and Sunday the 29th there was the steady stream of visitors seeing my space and art and this time learning about The Gratitude House.  I had had postcards printed up with the logo on the front and the words “I am grateful for…” on the back.  People were invited to take them as well as leave a gratitude behind.  It was a wonderful way to get the word out there and to have an interactive and collaborative installation take place.  There were so many additions that they spilled out into the hallway as well.
