"Sita Whitaker's gratitudes," December 2012

“Sita Whitaker’s gratitudes,” December 2012

There is nothing like having a trial run to see if an idea is worthwhile.  In early December, I held my first gratitude workshop in my studio.  My three friends who are sisters, Dara, Barrie and Wendy Cole as well as another friend Inna Shapkina each brought a daughter for a visit.  It was a success!  Each girl worked on her long gratitude picture-list made on perforated, folding computer paper and were able to walk away with gratitude “books.”  I was taken with Barrie’s daughter, Sita’s, paintings.  Right between rainbows and perhaps rain she thought to include “me.”  It is so true and important to be grateful to be one’s self!
