“Gratitude Journal Entry,” 2013

This afternoon, I had the pleasure of being the guest of Brownie Troop #2463 at The Packer Collegiate Institute in Brooklyn, NY.  After brainstorming together on the meaning of the word gratitude, we shared our “gratefuls” in a circle by passing a ball of yarn and creating a “web” of gratitude.  The idea behind this exercise is that we all effect each other when we share and that gratitude is contagious.  The group, then, had a chance to embellish their own gratitude journals and start filling them with entries.  This photo sums up how the girls engaged in the project.  One of my favorite moments was when one girl suggested that they read from their journals at the Thanksgiving table.  I am grateful, humbled and inspired once again.  Thank you.
